No, it is because the iron heads will retain the heat from the combustion process longer than aluminum heads. This actually allows the compression ratio you choose to be acurately attained. Aluminum dispenses the heat quicker and thus allows a higher compression ratio, but that also becomes a requirement for them to attain the same power as iron at a lower compression ratio.

If they are both set for 11:1, the iron heads will produce more power.
