Do i really need SFC?

Is Sub frame connectors really essential for a 330hp 380 torque 350ci engine???
My car in not intended for drag purpose.
I'm not really hard on my car just plan to do some highway, and race a couple of imports that's all....

You need subframe connectors. All 3rd gens need subframe connectors. It's just the way it is.

They should be made mandatory for all cars. South Side Machine makes a great set which fit perfectly on both of my thirdgens..Goodluck

If you have to ask that question, then the reply is no. Do you need them YES!

I've got them on my car. I installed them in 1999.

Here's some pictures and installation notes:

Perhaps so. However, I've since learned NOT to have a regular body shop do the work, but to find a race shop that specializes in this kind of modification. Actually, I just finished up an installation of a S&W Chromoly 6-point roll bar installation, and it only cost me just $200 for the install. 4 hours at $50 per hour by an aerospace certified TIG master. I did the tube cutting and fitting, removed the interior myself, then drove it and held onto the tubes while he tack and finish welded the assembly. I guess the lesson to learn is to either do it yourself, or find a shop that does this kind of work on a daily basis.

The welder at the body shop was good at putting broken cars back together, but when it came to installing subframe connectors, he spent a lot of time thinking about how to properly do the job, and I had to pay for the thinking time. Shops like KB Performance know how to already do it, and therefore are much more efficient with your nickel.

Another place that I know of (a local muffler shop) did a friend of mine's '94 Trans Am convertible. They installed some Kenny Brown double-diamond SFC's and promptly welded through the gas lines. Thus, I know that there is a learning curve that either you attack yourself, or else just quit stuffing around and take it to someone who is already ahead of the curve!

true. The kenny browns look like the best of everything ive seen out there and i think that ill go with those. My car is a 1990 350, its got headers, shift kit, 3.73 gears and thats about it. I want to do a 3" exhaust as my next mod but how far down the road should i look at getting some sfc's?

I think anyone with a unibody type frame will benefit from SFC's.
