not yet... .it's comming soon going to have a few things done to the iroc on thursday that should make her run a lot better than she was friday night. at moroso, she ran a best of 14.8 with some mickey mouse tires, clogged fuel injectors, clogged cats and really low tire presure. im having the cats removed, smog pump removed, tb bypass done, fuel injectors cleaned, and an air foil added on thursday. today im going to put a new thermostat, flush the radiator, and try to fix the tranny mount on the iroc. if it doesnt rain friday, i'll take her up to moroso again to see what she runs. i also found a pair of slicks behind a chevy dealership that i ... uh... borrowed? lol, they're huge as hell and im going to have to get rims at a junk yard to fit them on my camaro, but if i run 14 flat or better without slicks, chances are im going to take it to the retard in the cobra and ill have video's online to prove it ill probably add a pully to the car on thursday just to make sure i have the extra hp i need to run 13's. after that, i'll be saving up for LT's and buy my friend's borla system to put them on the iroc.... should sound way better than the mickey mouse flowmasters i have, lol

ill keep you posted on what ends up happening. if you want, email me at djhafownz@cofs.net if you want me to keep you up to date on the iroc. peace man

Sweet, sounds like it's comin' together. Nice comment on the mickey mouse flowmasters. May as well be like, hm, I don't know. Something bad though, heh

How much is the Borla system going to be running you? Ever look into the GMMG Chambered? My GOD that system is so nice. It's expensive at 700 bucks, but most new Borla systems I see are way more expensive than that. And from what I hear, a Borla does not have a muscle sound to it, more of a...um. Well don't know what to call it, but the Chambered IMHO sounds right around 250% better

Have fun with all ya do though! When is the race date for the Stang?

the kid isnt back from vacation yet, but it should be next week or the week after... it's comming soon

and the borla isnt gonna cost me anything... my friend took it off his LT1 trans am and wants to give it to me cuz he said that if he's gonna be riding in the iroc with me, he doesnt wanna be embaressed with that flow master exhaust sticking out of the back, lol

Flowmasters aren't tooooo bad. Just a tad under-advanced

Will the LT1 Borla fit up to a non LT1? That's awesome that he's giving it to you for free. I think the most I could get out of my friends would be a couple bucks...maybe

got to modify the I pipe, but his cousin owns a shop (GM Express in Hialeah, FL) and would probably do it for free. my friend dave used to own a LT1 Trans Am with work... then he decided to get a new LT1 block, and converted it to a 396 LT4 that ran low 11's, high 10's without nitrous... he was racing a z06 on I-95 and even though he was spanking the crap out of it, he decided to spray a 200 shot and his A4 tranny dropped str8 on to the street... he lost control of the car, and even though he didnt get seriously hurt, the front of the car was f*ked up so he had to junk it... he stripped the car apart, sold the LT4, and bought a 2004 Silverado. he's too scared to race a car again as powerful as the trans am he used to have, but he said he's down to put the LT1 that originally came in the T/A in my iroc, but i need new valve covers... just as long as one of his boys is putting the old parts of his T/A into good use... it's better than leaving it in his garage for it to collect dust, lol

i dunno if im actually gonna put the LT1 in the iroc... would it be worth it? we'd use his cousin's shop to install it i think, or we'd do it at his crib... but do you think they're would be complications? or should i just keep my L98 and just bore/stroke the crap out of it?

thats pretty sad that you might be able to beat a cobra in a virtually stock 350. I know theres a bunch of stuff your doing but removing smog and tb bypass is probably worth like 2 hp and .005 off of your quarter not going to do much. I have a 90 iroc 350 with 3.73's, shift kit, headers, true duals through stock pipes, ooo @ my hyperjunk chip....i think thats just about it but my car should be running about 14 flats on streets i think youd be more then lucky to break into the 13's with basically just exhaust work. If i were to race in a cobra against my own car id spank the hell out of my iroc and the sad part is im 17 and have only been driving stick for like 3 months. Funny how the people with the nice (in other words expensive) cars usually cant drive and the people who can drive cant afford nice cars. That seems to be true for the most part at least. and for those who feel like arguing with me and saying hey i have a fast car and can drive i guarantee the majority of people who buy vipers/z06's/nsx's couldnt drive their way out of a parking lot.

the cobra is convertable.. and stick... the guy who owns it can't drive... if i can creep up to a new porsche carrera 4 and pass him at 120, i think i can take it to the stang - out of the whole

my car should brake 13's though... 13.8-13.9 when this guy is done with it. he knows about 3rd gen more than anyoine i know... he's been racing them since he was a kid

im 19 and i've been driving stick for about... hm...3 years... and i can honestly say i throw the gears in my 67 quicker than anyone i've ever met - ppl even compliment me and ask me to drive their whips down the track or in races. if only my iroc was stick... lol. just put it this way... i ran my friends 2002 M6 LS1 Camaro SS down the track for him when his best time stock was 13.67 and i ran a 13.22... and that was on my first run

and the main reason im so good at driving stick is because i used to practice daily on how to shift... even got as good as to throw it in without the clutch at the right rpms (yeah i know, it's a no no... but i did it anyways to show off to my buddy's that i knew my car better than they thought i did, lol)

I hear ya man. Buddy who bought my old 92 Camaro can't even chirp it into second. So I hopped in the driver seat and showed him how to rip that mother. I don't think people like me should be planning on purchasing an LS1, but hey, gotta have fun in life

And ya know, true point about people with good cars that can't drive. Most of the time it's random rich people who have no passion for cars, go out and buy something because of the hefty price tag, and couldn't drive it for ****. Wouldn't suprise me if one of them went out and bought an '03 Viper and ran a 15 second 1/4 mile with it, with their terrible driving
