Disasembling a TH700R4 with engine torque

How much Hp and torque can one of these TH700R4 take?
Because I have herd that they are kind of week and there expensive.
The on I have is all stock.
I'll fork over the $ for a good torque converter and cooler kit if the rest of the trans will hold up.
If I wanted to run 450 Hp and 500+tq on one of these will I be repalcing it every 6 months to 6 minutes?
If that didn't wreck it what if I put a big nasty N.O.S. or N.X. wet kit (100Hp)?

oil,

For that kind of power you are best to have your 700r4 ovehauled and done right the first time around. Go to the transmission forum at www.thirdgen.org and talk to a guy named Pro Built. He is in California and enjoys a pristine reputation with folks.

Getting mine rebuilt (due to new motor ) and installed for $1,500...Bulllet proof with a 2 year warranty and a 2400 stall converter!!!! It should handle my little 330 hp output

Are those B&M remaned TH700R4 sold by summitracing any good?
Or how about the rebuild kits sold by them also?
The tranmission is less than a year old (stock rebuild) and dosen't have a lot of miles on it.

If it is in good shape it shouldn't cost a lot to bulletproof.

The knowledgeable tranny pros stay away from B & M. TransGo is the part supplier of choice. TAlk to Pro Built. It doesn't cost anything to talk.
