how much horsepower can a stock 7.75 diff handle

 

I've been running mine for over 4 years now behind my 500hp/520lbft big block (1.72-1.75 60fts) with no problems. Many 11 sec cars run stock 9 bolts. I've had customers in the 1.6x to 1.55+ range with no problems. Even 1 guy in the high 1.4x's with a 9 bolt.

We will have some 9 bolt prototype rear coverers/girdles available in 6-8 weeks. A rear girdle with some aftermaket axles will make the 9 bolt even stronger than it already is.
