Didn't all 91 z28's come with tpi?
Didn't all 91 z28's come with tpi?
I had one and it had tpi, but there is a 91 z convertible on ebay and it has tbi on it. I emailed the guy and asked him if it was the original motor and he told me yes that the z28's came either way. I thought the rs's came with tbi and the z's came with tpi

YEs, all 91 Z's were stocked with the TPI 5.0 or 5.7 engines.
Maybe the car isn't even a 91.....
Does it have....
updated 91-92 gfx?
hood blisters?
16" stock alloy rims?
If not, you most likely looking at a late 80's camaro Rs with some phony badges on it
Its all too common
Just make sure you know what you're buying b4 you buy it.

It has the 91-92 ground effects, and I can tell from the interior pics that the guages are also from those years. But, I don't think it is a Z28. The front grille on the Zs do not look like that. I'm sure that is a 91 RS, and not a 91 Z28. You could get the RS cars w/ those 16" alloy rims as well. And of course the engine. I believe the Z28s also had black around the headlights.

Looks like some one is tring to pull a fast one to me,plus it's already over priced ,and to much has been done to it just recently. Look to me like it has been spruced-up for a quick sell.
I would say BEWARE !
I would say BEWARE !
I know it. I had a 91 z28 convertible that was red and had black headlight pockets, 305 tpi. I was looking at maybe getting another one but something else is the hood blisters are black. Maybe it was to hard to match the white paint?? Screw ball idiot guy.
Agreed with FastWhite and splinter - that car is not a real Z28. The front grill is an RS grill, not a Z28. The only engine in the Z28 convertible that year was the 305 TPI as I recall. The TBI 305 was in the RS only.
