Question Delay on crank

when i turn the key to crank it, theres a delay like its having trouble starting up, ive changed the distrubitor cap and rotor, the center plug on the cap was corroded along with the spark plug wire it was connected to, i replaced the spark plug wire but still having the same problem. for the ignition the only aftermarket parts that are installed is a MSD 6A, anyone have any clue if the MSD box might have went bad in the past 3-4 years? or what the problem might be?

Re: Delay on crank

I'd bypass the MSD and see if it fires better. Look over the connections to it to ensure they arent corroded as well.

Re: Delay on crank

If you have the dual plug external coil you can just unplug the pigtail and plug the factory harness back onto the coil

If you have the coil on top HEI, then you'll have to mark your wires from the MSD and put the factory wires back to their original spots on the dist.
