Dashboard Problem... WTF

iight... went to the gas station to pump up the iroc, so i turned off the lights and turned off the car. after filling her up, i went to turn on the lights, but the dashboard doesnt light up. my headlights work, and so does the interior lights (roof light, fog light buttons, radio, console light, etc), but the damn dashboard light doesnt work. i tried to take off the dashboard real quick to see if there was a lose wire or two, and it would flicker on and off... if i kept it in one spot, it would stay on, but then i tried to mess with it more and it wouldnt stay on anymore. wtf is going on? lose wire? i dont think i burnt the bulb... or did i? thanks guys

I'm assuming you're talking about the lights behind the gauges. It's more than one bulb, there's like 8 or something. I know those headlight switches can kinda short out somewhat. Mine used to do that when I would turn it to dim the lights. Other than that I don't know.

You might have to take the dash off and see if they are getting power. I would suspect a bad ground because everything went out at once.

Either the power and/or the ground are loose. When the temp is right and they make contact, itworks and when it is not, they don't.

did you maybe dim them by accident when you turned them off?
