cowl firebird hood
Does anyone know where the best place to get a hood for a firebird would be. I'm looking for a pin on unless a bolt on is reasonable. I'm looking for a 4inch cowl plain cowl hood.
I seen that one before I think. It has a nice ram air hood, but not cowls for a third gen.
I've only seen a hand full of 3rd gen firebirds with cowl induction hoods
That i one reason i want one.

If you are gunna replace the hood for sure you could try cutting up the hood you got and see if you can build a scoop... I did it on my camaro and the only thing I regret is not getting a hood in better shape to cut up
try www.usbody.com
Hey I really like the 3.5 cowl they have, and it isn't a bad price(well compared to others). I just don't like the idea of having to cut my own cowl open
Yeah summit offers a 4 inch Harwood cowl for firebirds. It is $409
though

It's not so bad to do. First you mold the cowl on and get it just the way you like it, painted and all. Then you measure and mark on the inside of the hood and chop the hole out with an angle grinder. Leave a 6" strip across the back for structural purposes, and you're good to go. The hard part is filling and sanding Bondo around the cowl to make it a nice smooth transition to the stock hood.
