If you can run some high 13s, you might have a chance.

 

NO.....The weight of your amps is going to kill you. So don't place any bets on the outcome.

 

I would be willing to say yes. A stock 305 TPI is already putting out 280+lbs of torque, depending on which year, and you have a LOT of stuff done to your car that has probably put your torque through the roof. Your torque will take that stang, and your hp with all the mods will carry you to the finish line

 

some trans work and a full exhaust.... nah... i dont think the 305 has it in it.

 

What if I install an Ed Wright Chip with some under drive pulleys? The stereo equipment won't be in the car.

 

Not much help with the those items, just a waste of money in my opinion. Go for Headers & Hi-flow Cat and mandrel bent 3" full Catback Exhaust. Best bang for the buck on 305 TPI.

 

I already have those mods and some more. I ave a TPI not TBI.

 

Then get a 350.....

 

Nitrous is your best bet for the money.

 

Any details on the 'Stang? Auto or Manual? Good driver? hardtop or 'vert?

My g/f has an '04 GT A4/vert, and completely stock, with a good driver it ran a 14.6 @ 94ish.

exhaust - no

nitrous - maybe

cam - yes.

putting a cam in is kindof a bitch to do but you get tons of power and can spend as little as $140 on a decent cam/lifter kit that will give you a very noticable gain. yeah sure nitrous will give you alot more power but it costs more, more upfront and can be bad for your engine if you dont use it properly. dont get me wrong, i love nitrous but if your looking for the best bang for your buck and your willing to dig in and get dirty, put a different cam in there..

nitrous is only with you for a few seconds to make you go fast, a cam is always there

 

Nitrous is THE BEST bang for the buck, as in most hp per dollar bill.

I have seen many people tear an engine up with a cam install too.

Plus, with a cam alone, he still doesn't have a chance(assuming both drive well).

 

The Stang is a manual tranny , all stock, and the driver is not too good. As far as me, i have never been to the track or raced this particular ride. Itr has been babied.

 

you dont stand a chance,,your moda are basically to the exhaust which only gives you 20-30 hp increase on a newr motor....the ported plenum dont do much...so id say no way.the stockk ta wasnt a barn burner and there isnt much done to the engine to make it quicker.no disrespect what soever.....if you racing cash save your money
