Question computer and stereo problems

I am about to rebuild my motor in my '84 after having a weird ticking noise, which i think is a lifter. But I would like to install a performance chip. If someone could direct me to a place that sells them pretty cheap and a good chip, like REALLY good performance I would appreciate it. I also am having some trouble with my stereo and not having a good location for tucking in my two 10's if anyone has some suggestions they would be much appreciated.

www.fasterproms.com burns a good chip. They are not cheap but they are good. Cheap and good are almost mutually exclusive in this world IMO. You tell them what mods you have and they burn one to suit that application. You get some datalogging stuff from them like Diacom and send them the results and they will reburn it to the readings till they get it right. This is a true custom chip. They are good because it is not some off shelf unit which all it does is turn the fans on or crank up the timing advance a little. With the Diacom readings they can get it on the money. Good work is not cheap. They are $500 for the first burn and after you are happy, if you want to do anything else, it is $150 per chip reburn.

Rebuilding the motor and doing what with it? Are you changing heads, cams, injectors, displacment? What did you hope to achieve? What kind of motor do you have? If you plan to keep it stock, don't bother with the chip.
