Honestly, even I sometimes forget this board is here. This place should be named LT1Camaro.com or LT1.com

The admins/mods here are so ignorant of the generation, several years ago the Tech section was divided into LS1 for the 98+ cars, LT1 for the 93-97 cars, and L98 for the 82-92 cars! They later added the "3rd gen" part after weeks of criticizm

I hate you. B/c its been so cold, I can't bear to push my car in the freezing garage (even though its attatched to the house) to try and work on it.

BTW low 60s is a great temp for working on cars, as long as you are actually working you stay nice and warm.

You wouldn't mind me bringing my car and stuff over to finish off the LS1 swap would you. It'd be kind far to push though

i like the body lins on the 3rd gen alot better, and with the same suspension mods a 3rd gen will take corners better

seats

There are still some 3rd gen guys out there. Does anyone know what GM seats are a direct fit besides 4th gen? I see a lot of nice Pontiac GP and other bucket seats that look nice but don`t know if they will fit without a lot of re-engineering. The stock buckets in my `88 Iroc have got to be the most uncomfortable I have ever had.

Hey, I just joined and own 2 thirdgens and 1 fourthgen.
I choose the thirdgens any day over the 4thgens.
It cracks me up when a 4th gen looks at me in either of my Z's and think they can beat me because they are newer. HAHAHAHAHAH, they dont stand a chance, I am also lighter than a 4thgen.
Heres some pics

Supercharged 85 Z28 350 TPI 15lbs fully built motor

Twin Turbo 88 Iroc 355 12lbs, alky inj, 50 shot nos, fully forged

Yah, some of us have both. I know, I know, I need to post some picts.
As far as how fast they are, it has nothing to do with what gen. you have.

When my 89 Iroc went into long term storage I kind've lost interest in reading about other peoples cars and the problems they are having.
