Took my dash apart to check on some gauges that weren't working... before, the temp and speedo weren't working...figured out that the speedo is the VSS...not worried...so i unstuck the temp gauge, which works now, but the tach, volts, gas, and oil pressure are not responsive anymore...and when i put my headlights on, the little "door ajar" noise hums pleasantly, non-stop, even with all the doors shut...what do i do?

 

Remove the door ajar alarm.

J/K, find a wiring diagram and see what the alarm ties into with the headlight switch. Must be something shorted out there or something.

 

I would check the printed circut board where it connects to the dash pigtails, if you have`nt already. That spot can corode and cause all sorta problems.
