Choke Light Still on, need help
Choke Light Still on, need help
Ok, I replaced the Alternator, which was the reason for the choke light in the first place (for the most part I figure) so for awhile everything was good, no choke light, but now the choke light is back on, the alternator is no more then like 1 month old, more like 3 weeks.
So is there anything else that it could be, I am not noticing anything differant in the driving, radio works and everthing, car starts up good (for a carbed engine on a cold day), everythings good, and thats whats bothering me, cause it always the problems you never notice that ends up leaving you broke down on I-5.
Please any help would be good,

There is a relay, like a flasher for your signal lights, that the Choke circuit is on. It is under the dash on the driver's side, just to the right of the steering column. There is a little box pull-out affair, and in there is the flasher. That is probably the little problem. They don't cost much to replace, maybe $5 or so.
Thanks :)
I'll check it out, it isn't on all the time, sometimes it like whammy's on and off, hard to explain, and some times it goes on through all gears but 5ths, when I stick it in 5th it goes away, and sometimes... well you get the point
its always there in wierd times, the whammy usually starts when the car starts, as with all the rest of them, I will check it out, I have afew friends at Kregen so I can get them to poke around, as I don't have all the tools needed for anything serious right now, mostly on your basic tools you know
I will check the relay switch, if all else, changing it out will stop it from needed replaced later
Hopefully I can find how to fix this problem, as I am also having a problem with my reverse lights which are equally important, and its hard to track both at the same time while still driving it around (its the only car I have)
Thanks
