Choke light keeps coming on...(no it's not the alternator)

I've had a new alt in for months and also had a rebuild on the Q-Jet. I just put on a new choke and it's still hard to start in the morning and the choke light comes on intermitantly (sp). Sometimes it comes on at start up and stays on for about 20 mins ( until the motor is warm). Other times it comes on at start up and goes off after about a couple of minutes. All the connections seem to be good to the carb. That light is bugging the hell out of me.
Does anyone else with a CC Q-Jet have this problem?
Should I even worry about it?

If the choke element is good and you have good voltage from the alt. then I would next look at the choke heater relay. I think it's somewhere up under the dash but I really don't recall on a Camaro. It's job is to send voltage to the choke any time the engine is running. If it's getting flaky it can cause problems.

It's also possible that you have an oil pressure switch going bad. On some cars they run the choke power through an oil pressure switch before it goes to the choke. I don't think this is the case on Camaros, but I know there are many GM cars where the choke power is tied in with an oil pressure swtich.
