Chevy 5.3L in 3rd gen. Has it been done?

I think you should focus your time and energy on getting your LT1 setup working properly. It's alot more work to swap a gen 3 engine into a 3rd gen car. It'd be much more challenging and expensive than finishing up your LT1 swap.

ditto. The lsx swap is easier/cheaper to talkabout than to do.It gets very expensive, plus if you go through all thr trouble of running fuel lines changing motor mounts and buying expensive headers why not just use a ls1 or lq9?
