Check oil light coming on

Check oil light coming on

This is for a bud of mine who just got a 92 vette. The check oil light is on but gauge shows good pressure and the oil level is full. What gives?

maybe its time to change the oil? maybe?

Do vettes have some type of on board diagnistics that can sense when it's time for an oil change? By the way his car is a 91/L98 it just looks like a 92.

Oil level sensor maybe? That or the oil level is low?

it might, how long has he had the car?
