cheap solution on the t-56 electric to cable speedo?

Well Im going to be doing a T-56 swap, and I have a cable speedo. As everyone knows the T-56 has a electronic speed sensor. All the options are around 300 bucks, weather its mod the tailhousing, or buy the box. Does anyone know of a cheap way to fix this? Im about to try to rig up something myself.....

I have completed my swap and still have yet to get around to the speedo. Check this out for great swap information.

The Abbot Cable-X box is one solution for cable speedo owners.

Or you can buy the replacement tailshaft from Jags That Run, but its not cheap. It will allow you to use a T5 speedo sensor.

Jags that run does not do this anymore. There web page is still up, but I assure you they quit doing this.

That's why I worked it out for my trans and now do the mod for others. I'm also working on the cable drive mod for for tranny's with the viper output shaft upgrade done to them.
