well it's a better investment, but it's not like a better bang for your buck, and I haven't investigated this yet, but like supposedly they can be broken with a solid hit to the side, I can't remember wher eI read this, I think in some LPE article, I don't know how I feel about that, I like my driveshafts to stay slightly solid, even if in trouble, driveshaft loops are for other problems...
Carbon fiber shafts will explode if they get a hard enough side impact, I saw one do it at a dragstrip once, a u-joint failed and when the shaft hit the safety loop it just shattered, sending little bits of it all over the track that then had to be very carefully cleaned up.
