carb which one to use

carb which one to use

ok guys heres my problem i have a 87 formula with a fresh rebulit 350 it has dart 200cc heads a .490 .510 lift 234 244 dur. cam and an edelbrock rpm intake. Im am currently running a reman edelbrock which works crappy its a 750 too much gas. what carb should i use as a good street carb. thank you

I use a edelbrock 600 but I have stock heads. but a 750 is too big

If the Edelbrock 750 runs vacuum secondaries it is just a matter of setting the point where they will kick in. 750 cfm with vacuum secondaries is not too big for a nicely warmed over 350.

Is it a QJet or a Carter?

My vote will go for the DEMON 650!!! Even if your engine averages 90% V/E it still will only need a 600 cfm. Bigger is only better if you need it. Low speed torque loss will be the only thing that will happen if you go too big. On the dyno, if it goes into a vacaum under full throttle, that is the only true way too tell if that motor needs more cfm
