Hey guys, complete no brainer for you im sure. just wondering if the fuel injection system from a 305 will fit onto a 350 so i can run fuel injected. bad idea? good idea?
Would be great if u can lead me in the write direct with that.

A small block chevy intake fits on any other small block chevy. The only problem is the intake bolt holes. In 1987 when they switched to centerbolt valve covers, GM also switched the middle four intake bolt holes to a different angle. So 86 and older intakes will bolt onto any other 86 and older heads, and 87 and newer will bolt on to any other 87 and newer (except LT1, LS1, Vortec, etc.) The only exception is the aluminum L98/ZZ4 heads. They kept the older intake bolt pattern.
Yes, everything Kevin said is true. However you can enlongate the center holes in the intake manifold to make it fit the different angle, if there is a problem with the fitment of the cylinder heads.
Also, the 305 used 19 lb. injectors whereas the 350 used 21 lb injectors. Thus you might find some tuning issues that will need to be cleared up by installing an appropriate PROM for the 350, and either replacing the injectors or else fiddling with the fuel pressure.
