Angry carb or fuel inj.

my car has a 305tpi in it but i'm pulling it for something bigger, 350 or larger my question is do you guys think i should stay fuel inj. or use a carb and roots type blower, if i stay tpi it seems to me like you can build power but it's so expensive, when i could slap a blower on and good carb and make loads of power. maybe i'm wrong but i don't see any 3rd gens with roots type blowers how come??? i think they look sweet coming through the hood of a 3rd gen. does anyone have any suggestions about this or pics of 3rd gens with roots blowers?????

Getting started with a carb is much easier, but guys who know FI in and out will tell you its a lot easier. You just have to learn the system first. I know alot of FI guys that burn chips for themselves in between runs.

why don't you do a roots type blower w/ fuel injection
get one (or 2)of those throttle bodies that resemble a carb and have the multiport system right in the manifold.any machine shop will drill holes in the intake for you.my buddy has a mustang and he is putting a vic jr intake w/fuel injection.also this way it will look alot cleaner the only thing going through your hood is a blower, throttle body(s),a wire for throttle position and the throttle linkage.you don't run the fuel line up there.

There's no reason it can't be done. I've seen setups with Nitrous fogger injectors on the roots manifold, you'd just have to weld on bosses for the fuel injectors the same way they did for the nitrous injectors. You'd have to fabricate custom fuel rails too probably. I actually have wanted to put a rig like that together for a while but I don't have the cash flow for it. The trick would be putting together a FI system that can operate off 2 throttlebodies.....

.....or you could get a little Weiand 144ci blower that just has a single 4-barrel mount......

I ran once with a massive fuel leak (which hurts FI alot) and got a low 15. I dusted the guy in the 1/8 but stupid TPI stops pulling after like 4800 rpms. I think withought the leak I would have had a mid-low 13. I now have a 750 carb set-up but havent updated my sig yet
