hey guys on my 89 camaro when i was at a drive through it all of a sudden turns off so i put in park to turn it back on then its fine?. this happens like once a week i just did the tune up on it new plugs wires cap rotor ignition coil and the ignition modual but even way before i did the tune up it was still doing it??any ideas guys?? please help?????dont know what else can it be ..thanks

 

It could be your stock electric in tank fuel pump giving up the ghost.

Fuel filter...? I had a similar problem it would start to sound pretty rough and not want to go sometimes when i was getting my foot into it, i tryed everything and finally the fuel filter and it turns out thats what it was.. i usualy like to start off trying to replace the cheapest thing first hopeing its going to be one of them.

 

Does the car start to shake and shudder before it turns off? If so, then its the fuel pump for certain. Even if it doesn't start to shake like its going to stall, I'd actually still investigate the fuel pump. Seriously.

To date, I've replaced the fuel pump in my car 4 times. I hate fuel pumps.

 

Mine would do that every once-in-awhile found it to be the after market chip I was running. Just a thought.

 

make sure that the ground wire to ur engine itsn'e disconnected and just sitting agenced the engine or have a croded ground wire.

 

yeah today im going to check whats the fuel pressure..im also going to check the ground cables..thanks guys..
