hi i am new to this sort of stuff and this is my last option.i recently bought my very first camaro and it is a 1986 iroc HELL YEAH!!! but i have a problem the guy i bought it off of told me that the motor has a problem with the compression but i checked the compression and it has more than enough as a matter of fact it has ALOT!! anyways back to my problem he car has a freshly built 305 4 barrel and when i try to start it gas blows back out of the carb i have checked vaccum lines wiring even the damn timing and everything is perfect i have run out of ideas if anyone can help please help me any suggestion will be greatly appreciated thnx

 

It blows out there the carb bolts to the manifold, or out the top of the carb?

 

the gas blows out of the top of the carb and i do not know what all the motor has i did not put it together but i do know that when it runs it is a screamin demon

 

What make of carb? Have you checked the flote level?
