When ever the selector for the heat and A/C controal is any where but in the off position the damn A/C compresser keeps turning on and off. Even when in the heater is on.
I unpluged the power source to the A/C clutch and it grounded out and blew the fuse (I had to fix the fan for some heat) and when I pluged it back in and replaced the fuse the damn thing goes on, off, on, off.
Why does it do that?
Does any one know?
I'm sure the refrigerant reciver is empty the clutch is good because when it comes on I can hear and feel the pistons or swerlers (what ever it uses) move.
Next time I pull the plug I'm wraping it with eletrical tape so it dosen't find a ground.

 

it is normal for the a/c to run in the defrost mode . but it shuold not run in heat or vent. most likely it would be the elictrical select switch that is mounted on the control head
