they make an 84-92 version that fits all 5.0/5.7 applications, it may not be "as" good on a 5.0 as a 5.7, but it's still borla

That is alot of money for a cat back. There are other cat backs that flow as well and you could take the extra money and get a set of headers. Just my .02

I was originally gonna go with flowmaster catback but after talkin to this guy i work with who had a 25th anniv maro with borla he convinced me 2 go with borla. he said had flows on it and upgraded 2 borla he said the difference is huge and the sound of borla as u punch is great. i am still considerin my options cuz a) money and b) i found a borla catback for about 100 more than the flows which aint too bad considerin how expensive borla is. thanx for those who replied.

Walker Dynomax makes a cat back thats flows as well as a Borla. It is not as loud until you hit it. They are under $200.00 and come with chrome tips. With the other money you can get a set of TES or cheaper yet Headman headers. Don't put the cats on when installing the headers and cat back and you will have more power and a deeper throaty sound than the Borla. I have had my Walker DynoMax system since 1987. I have TES headers with no cats and I have not heard a Borla system that sounds as mean as mine. When racing someone with a borla system I can't even hear there car. As long as I am crusing it not that loud but when I hit it she screams.

Make sure that youi check the parts with the Borla system. They do not include the 3" pipe from the cat over the axle. Very expensive and not all the parts are inclucled plus the POOR Fit you will also encounter.

I agree Borla was not a bolt up system. But what fun would it be to just bolt something up and have it work w/out making it fit. There are two different borla systems for sale, 1 doesn't include the intermediate pipe and the other does. Big junp in price for that pipe, but i love the sound. And can't beat a life time warranty.

The SLP Catback system is complete and it fits, also all Stainless Steel with the same warranty. And it sounds great, not that loud
annoying noise.

I never liked the sound of a Borla when the restrictor plate is closed. When it's open, sure it's cool but it's basically a $500 open cutout which you could have accomplished for $60

If you had that much money to spend, I'd do something like a Random Tech 3" Stainless exhaust or a 3", 3.5", or 4" Mufflex exhaust with a Flowmaster 2 chamber race muffler. They own any Borla They also sell those catbacks with a newer SpinTech style muffler which is quieter. Goodluck

I contemplated getting the Borla system, but decided it wasn't worth the $500. It is cool, but you can get other systems for so much cheaper.

Basically you're paying for stainless steel, a cutout, and some nice looking dual/dual tips. If you can spend that kind of money and not worry about it, go for it. I would personally go with either Dynomax or Flowmaster and put a nice ELECTRIC cutout on it, and with the leftover money get headers.

denny, what's with all the "owning" lately?

just a word to the wise, i ditched my borla for my flowmaster 2 chamber which sounds more like the car should and produced more power on the dyno. not that it matters to do that though.

buy borla...the one thing i noticed though is that the people who typically only rave about borla are those who have it. they don't want to look bad paying that much for something.

i do think if you like the sound of a particular exhaust you should go with it though as they all sound a little different. just don't think your getting something that's all that great.

nothing right about now.........however, there's a slight 3" lift in the suspension and this weird hole where the trans was....can't figure it out for the life of me.

we'll see who "owns" who when the time comes

borla cat back for 305

the borlas are expensive. don't get them unless u want stainless pipes.tailnless Corsa and borla pipes sound bitchin. plus borla has te million mile warantee. and they do make them for 305. the 350 and the 305 have the excactsame pipes as long as u have the single cat setup. it is the exccact same, same quality, etc. buy em!
