Thumbs up

I know there is a good book about tips on how to get more power......but I am not sure about a repair book. I have one from Autozone (THE LAST THING I BOUGHT FROM THERE) and it was updated with a few TPI topics. Check Amazon.com

Get the book called "TPI Swappers Guide", it is full of useful info on these engines along with wireing shematics and trouble code diagnostics. Hey WS6SCharged, are you from Jacksonville Fl, or N.C. ?

For the 3rd gens, Chilton's guide flat out blows away the Haynes manual. I have both, and never even crack the Haynes open. I'd also check out these other TPI specific books, as they will have even more tricks of the trade on the third gens.

I was driving home a couple of months ago. Noticed the Haynes manual I bought sitting in the seat next to me. Chunked it out the window.

Sounds about right. I opened mine(came with the car) and then shut it, and never looked back. I went and bought the Chilton's guide the same day. It actually has the information on 85 and ups in the whole book, not just a supplement!

Does the Chilton have anything useful on the computer controlled carb? I have found that info to be pretty rare.

I found the best way to go was to get the actual service manual that Chevrolet put out the year your car was manufactured. These manuals blow away anything Chilton's, Haynes etc. have put out because they cover your car bumper to bumper. EVERYTHING!! You can get most any manual from Helm Inc. at 800-782-4356 or visit them @ helminc.com.
Sorry this a week or so late, but I hope it helps....Good Luck!!

Good book...but if everyone had one, there would be no CamaroZ28.com

Well, there might be the F-body lounge, but thats about it.

Absolutely, these are the best.

But they cost literally more than 10X what Chilton's do...
