when I start my car now after it's been sitting for acouple hours black smoke comes out and if i don't rev it up alot before driving it stalls out. Could someone tell me what is causing this. Thanks alot for any help

Black smoke is too much fuel. It's running rich.

after it sits for a while, it might have a leaking injector dripping fuel into a cylinder and washing it down. also might be leaking while running causing stalling problems and black smoke from running rich.

depends on if its carbed, TPI or TBI. If its carbed, there should be some air/fuel adjustment valves on the carb. just adjust them til it stops smoking...as for TPI or TBI im not sure

If you are talking about the idle mixture screws...that is NOT a proper way to adjust them. I'm assuming his car is not carbed because of the year, so I won't go into it...
