Best Sub frame connectors

Back in 1997 I stuck a TPI350 and Tremec TKO tranny in my 86 Camaro. I now want to weld in some sub frame connectors but Im a little leary about some of them that are out one the market. What are some that you have used and did you like them? How was the weld, and where did they weld to? How do you like them now that there installed?
I did search for this, but I didnt find what I was looking for.

Thanks.

Ive got Spohn tubular weld ins and love them. They fit awesome and work absolutely great. They bolt into the rear control arms and weld along the floor. 1 " welds every 4". They definetly improved handling and it seems that the rear end plants a lot better.

With the Spohn connectors, do you weld them where they bolt into the rear trailing arm or do they just use the existing bolt hole? That and how did they fit around/under the exhaust?

Thanks.

You use the original LCA bolt location. Also you do not weld at this location. The SFC's are the best improvement you can make on any 3rd Gen car.

Do you by any chance have pix showing how they are welded in. Or how they bolt up. I think that my frame is a little bit torqued so I know that I need to get some. I am just unsure on the hows and wheres. I would appreciate anything you can show me on this.

The Kenny Brown subs are the best and they tie from front to back and side to side. Hotchkis makes some nice ones that weld in from the front sub frame to the rear sub frame. I added the Hotchkis frame ties, LCA and PHB to my car and it was like driving a different car. It went from 2.2 60 foot times to 1.85.
After that I installed a strut tower brace. Again it made the car feel different and now the car will bark the tires going into 3rd gear at WOT. My car has a 7000R4. It feels like I am driving a new car it is so tight. It also doesn't have any rattles. I would get the 3 point strut tower brace.
I would not by the bolt in frame ties as they will elong gate the bolt holes in time. After you install the aboue you will think you are driving a Vette the way it will handle.

I have Alstons and like them. They were the bolt in kind which they recommended I get but weld in. Much stiffer and clears exhaust nicely.

Actually any SFC's you install on your car are the best. They are all basically the same design and they all tighten up the car. So the answer is just buy and install them. You will not be sorry. One note! The weld in type are the best.

No problems with ground clearance, and still one of the best Mods to make, I can't understand why I waited so long to have SFC's installed. Following upgrades on my IROC.

1) Spohn SFC's
2) Spohn Rear LCA's
3) Spohn Pandhard bar
4) Hotchkis STB

Tighter now then when I bought it new.
