Question Best performance tire

Hello,
I was wondering what u guys think are the best performance tires that are a reasonable price .. I would be using them mainly in the summer , and not in the winter. Also if u know of any good cheap wheels ( realize there are no really cheap aftermarket wheels but around 150 a wheel or so)that will fit a 91 camaro?? I am looking for some 16's, stock wheels are not doing it for me anymore. Thanks as always for the advice..
Jerry

Best place for informatiom on performance tires would be the TIRERACK www.tirerack.com . Bought Two sets of tires and wheels from them.
Also check the wheels available.
Note! Because of the 3rd Gen wheel off sets few will be avaible and all will require spacers, just so you know.

slightly more than the G-force, but they are phenominal in the rain and have outstanding dry traction.

firestone, firehawk SZ50 ep's

that's a pretty good list there.

i'm running t1s right now, but only because 18" michelin pilot prices are rediculous.

check out the reviews for the Khumo ECSTA 712 on tirerack.com. I am gonna get those next, mostly due to the low price. Under 100 bucks. And apparently the dry traction is pretty good.

the kuhmos r really bad tires, yeah they r cheap but they wear too fast and dont get good traction.

theres a brand of falken ziex that is dirt cheap and comes with good traction and also has a tread wear of 380 so itll last.

I have to agree with crackpotjoe,
I had them on my car and they weren't all that great. Only thing nice about them was the price, but I should have spent the extra $30/tire for the G-Force T/A KDW. I have those now and they are awesome.

anyone compare the kdw's, sz-50's, and potenza's? i am down to these three choices and all have about equal ratings. i was just wondering if anyone has tried more than one of these themselves to give me a comparison.

I'm gonna need tires soon, and I have my eye on the Firehawk SZ50 EP

Anyone have these, or heard anything about them?

On tirerack.com, they have a 9.+ on everything accept Noise Comfort (8.6) and Tire wear (8.1). at $137, they look like the best deal to me!!
