^I dunno about better mileage man.. these 305s were BUILT for mileage. A stock CC quadrajet should be able to grab you 30mpg's hiway man

 

85_305, what mileage do you get? I am seeing 13.5mpg in mixed city and highway, maybe (MAYBE) 18 highway.

 

^OH SNAP! Are you serious?? I haven't had it on the road in about 3 years.. but when it used to be about 25mpg with a relatively heavy foot But you, as I, have the 1406 Eddie installed so mileage may very well be different.. although I can't imagine why it's THAT low

I knew it was bad when I was only going about 200 miles before hitting E. LOL

I just had the trans rebuilt and the shifting points set for performance.... wondering if I'll see worse mileage!

 

I wish I could see 200 miles....lol.... I get about 150 miles, if that.

 

I'm glad SOMEONE feels my pain!! LOL

But if you're seeing sub-200 miles on a tank, you're in the 10mpg or less category. Yikes.

 

As bad as that is.. it really doesn't surprise me all that much. My good buddy who also goes by the name Matt has a 350 tpi 5spd that gets around there. Something about that tpi that doesn't like to be modded
