ok heres the scenario, i put a jack under the front engine crossmember to jack up the front of the car and then i place jack stands under the pinch points on the frame behind the front wheels on either side of the car.
i lower the jack to put weight on the stands and the front bends down a little too much for my comfort. like this ^ maybee not that extreame, do i have a broken car or do they just tend to do that sorta thing. how much is too much, and would subfrome conecters fix this problem or would it not help being that the bending is happening in front of where they would go,
so recap: bassically from the firewall foward bends down almost as if the engine is too heavy (just to get a picture of what i mean if i wasnt clear enough)
let me know what the deal is, and if i have damaged subframe connections or something, and or how to fix the problem,
thanks alot fellas!

A certain amount of flex is normal on these cars. My 89 Formula does a disturbing amount of flexing when I put stands in the same place.
My Formula runs fine on the road, so I don't worry about it. Unless you can see damage or stress cracks, I think it's just something that goes with 3rd gen ownership.

ok,
i just wanted to make sure because i know a guy who teaches a steering and suspension class and i mentionedf it to him and he looked at me funny and said it shouldnt be doing that and that i might have broken something, i would normall just assume he doesnt know camaros but he has had many in the past, although i think they were 1st gens, but he does work with alot of cars in his shop so i dunno if he does or not have experience with third gens
im surprised more guys diddnt have any imput on this question, 14 people viewed it but only one reponse, i know its not the most interesting topic, but its an easy answer for anyone whos ever jacked up their car

Mine did that noticeable until I added the subframe connectors. Now it still flexes, but not quite as badly. The price of unibody construction and not the best engineering. You just don't see that on a full frame car. But hey, it adds character to the things. I don't think I will ever be able to let this thing go.

Sounds like yours is a little loose. Remember most of the panels on these cars are bonded (clued) together not welded. And this design, though better than the sub frames, are susceptible to flex.
