ARHG! Need some help here folks!
ARHG! Need some help here folks!
Here' s the problem. If there's a lot of moisture in the air(ex. raining/fog etc) my car wont always hold an idle and it'll throw the check engine light. I'v already replaced the cap/rotoe/plugs/wires, not sure where else to go on this one. The car will drive fine, it just wont idle. I was thinking maybe MAP but not sure. The car is an '87 Formula with a 305 LG4 carbed motor. Also, the check engine light will come on after long periods of highway driving(maybe an EGR problem?) Thank in advance for anyone that can help me out

All you need to do is connect the "A" and "B" terminal of the ALDL with a wire. Turn the key on but do not start the engine. The service engine soon light should start to flash codes. I have a code book. You could tell me what your code numbers are and I will tell you what it means. The light will flash once then twice. This is code "12". Code "12" tells you the system is working. It will repeat this three times then move to your next code. Count the flashes and write the code(s) down. E-mail me if you have any more questions. I will try to help you the best I can. Good luck
