Anyone got this combo?.

On a 87' 350 TPI motor I have installed

Edelbrock intake runners and baseplate
52mm T/body
TFS heads
Edelbrock headers, no cat, cat back
Roller rockers
AFPR at 48psi

Like a dumba$$ I didnt put another cam in it. At a test track the other night, it struggled to get to 120mph. Lack of breathing me thinks. I take it the stock cam sucks?.

Have any of you guys got this setup?. If so, what cam are you running?. What sort of power is the motor making?.
Ive got a hypertech chip in it at the moment ( which does not do a lot!) I think I might put the stock one back in for now. I am in the UK so what would be the best idea to get a chip burnt for it?.

Lots of questions I know but I would like to release the full potential of these parts that custom and excise charged me so much for when they landed in this country .

Thanks all.

I have a friend that had a similar setup but with a different cam and some prom tuning and he was running in the 12's easily, well with traction of course. With the stock cam and crappy tuning from hypertech I would say you are maybe high 13's. Your best bet would be to buy the tuning stuff and do it yourself. It is difficult to get a tune right in the first try and I would hate to see you send your prom back and forth across the lake. There are tons of places out there that have prom tuning information, like www.thirdgen.org, that you would be able to read and figure it out yourself. That way you could keep playing until you are happy with it.
