Anyone ever try to lower your car and it sits higher???
I just put on the Hotchkis (sp?) lowering springs on my 91 and the front end sits alot higher...the back looks the same as it did before! Anyone have any ideas why???
Thanks,
Adam

Your old springs were probably wore out bro. And when you put new ones on here that were'nt so compressed, it appears to be higher, although lower than the stock stance. Just my .0001 cents.
Do the top of the front springs seat into the rubber correctly? Did you make sure to seat the springs properly into the lower control arms? The top doesn't matter, but the bottom does. The end of the coil must sit in the depression in the LCA. It should have 2 small holes which the end of the coil should be between.
The rear must be rotated so the last 180 degrees of the coil is pointed towards the rear. The cut on the end should be facing towards the front.
Besides, they will settle a little after some driving.

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't it take a week or 2 for the springs to settle? should take a little while for the springs to lower the car...

Should have checked before the install, but make sure the p/n# on the boxes is the same p/n# that you ordered. Sometimes the company you ordered from may have mixed 'em up.
you sure you got those black rubber things on the bottom? they can't be on the top or that will screw it all up.
Trying to remember what they are called...
dammit...them black round things, they HAVE to eb on the bottom...
Oh yeah... the TIRES!!! Those have to be on the bottom or else you did it wrong!

I am a first gen. owner and I was told that your lower control arms need to be loose and then tightened back up with all the weight of the car on the ground. Not in the air. You might want to try this - not sure if it works.
Here's what you need to check.
First, you need to make sure you have the springs sitting correctly in the upper buckets, fully seated in the ring.
Second, you need to make sure you have them indexed right in the A-arm bucket. The end of the spring needs to be located between or around the 2 drain holes in the arm.
You have to tighten up the bolts after the car is sitting back on it's wheels, too, with the suspension loaded.
