anybody wanna help me spend my money!!!!!

so im going thru with it ,, headers ,true dual, new mufflers, my mechanic said drop it off when i get my parts,,, so my question is i need the smallest most aggressive mufflers i can get? flowmaster?? anybody?? also i cant find any longtubes with NO A.I.R hookups that are ceramic coated and dont cost a million dollars,, personally i dont think painted headers are gonna hurt that much,, i have operational vents in my turbo daytona iroc hood!! maybe ill cover the brake lines, wires, and starter in the future? does anybody know of a good longtube ceramic coated header with no air hooks ups,,, i have searched far and wide and cant find any??? your turn

as far as headers.. i know your pain ive played with 3rd gens as well. hooker might be your best bet although fitting it in isint gonna be fun and they are a little pricey.

as far as coating, you live in ny so without the coating the headers will get rusty and you cant count on that.. especially if you drive it year round.

Headers will always rust.

It can be done but it's a tight fit to get dual full size mufflers under there. It's not practical for a street car on 26" tires, ESPECIALLY if it's lowered. You'd be best with a header/y-pipe setup and single 3" exhaust with a Race magnum round muffler under there. Dump it before the axle for added weight savings. It'll sound smoother than duals.

If you want to get crative, get Hooker long tubes coated and build your own Y-pipe. Fuuuun stuff.

FYI, never get flowmaster; esp. with the system you want.

Paging Dan Burk...

I'm pretty sure that Dan put Hooker coated longtubes on his '84 WS6, and Hooker AeroChamber mufflers.

Hopefully he'll check in here and correct me.

Coated headers are more expensive but it is completely worth it. The headers will last longer and look better.

If you can go with shorties, look up "Dyno Don Headers" in the Exhaust forum over at thirdgen.org . He's my dad and he makes excellent 1 3/4" shorty headers with a y-pipe, if I may say so.
