Another rear end question...

I bought a set of 3.23 gears from a 4th gen. Camaro Z-28. What's all involved in putting them into my 86 Z-28? I have factory 2.73 gears now. Will I have to shim more, or will my factory ones work? Thanks for any help!

You'll have to buy an adapter kit, because like said in your car is a 2 series carrier and the new gears are a 3 series carrier. I think they run around $50 or so.

You'll probably want/need new shims and definatly a crush collar.

Where can you buy an adapter kit? Would Auto Zone carry a kit for it? Thanks!

I don't think so.
