Amber front parking lights ?

My 90 RS has clear lens front parking lights, but I could swear I've seen amber lenses on some 3rd gens.

Are they available from GM, or are they aftermarket or ??

Thanks guys!

Yes, i have seen them too, but I do not know if they are the same exact dimension as the ones we know. They came on like older sport coupes, and the camaros with F-41 suspension with no ground effects and that stuff. I like the look of brand new clear park lamps, I am getting a set as soon as I get my car painted. Hope that helps!

BTW you can get them from Classic Industries if you are interested!

Will,

Thanks for the quick feedback. I sent Dal Slabaugh a request for some parts and asked him to find out if GM has a set that will fit the 90 RS. If Dal doesn't know.... plus his prices on GM parts are virtually impossible to beat.

My clear lenses are shot. Totally glazed over. Can't put those on a freshly painted car.

I was REALLY happy with my paint, came out perfect. A local dealer has a shop painter that works on the side, and the dealer lets him use the shop after hours. Got it back to the original RED which looks great!

just to let you know if you get new lights make sure you put some sealer on the lip where they melted it together and make sure it is a airtight seal so it wont let water back in and stay new looking for a lot longer I have had mine for over 2 years and still look new..

Amber lights were on the early 82-84 Z28's, and some 82-87 sport coupes.

The lenses on your car do not need to be replaced. They yellow with time. All you need to do is remove them, polish with a paint rubbing compound and wax over. You can spray in any foaming cleaner into the inside and let sit. Wash and dry them out. The results are quite dramatic. Mine looked like crap and I had planned on replacing them. Since I was going to replace them, I decided to experiment. They shine like glass now! Well worth the 1/2 it takes to clean them. And certainly better than buying new ones for $40 a piece!
