for aklim 3rd gen ques

aklim i know you stuck a auburn pro series diff in your rear just wondering if you kept your stock axels also what series carrier is that diff or is a carrier something different

My axels are stock.

Since I was changing the gears too, I just dumped the old carrier and installed the new carrier with the gears. I got the 3 series carrier.

that would be pro series 26 spline 7-5/8 10bolt 76-88 3.08 and up????? part number 109-542044

Wouldn't it be beneficial to upgrade to 28 spline axles since you are doing all this work to the rear? Axles shouldn't cost more than $125 each new seeing as a 4th gen axle with the trac reluctor ring on it was $130 new from GM.

It would be a better way to go, yes. Just don't get some junkyard one that you know nothing of and if you went that route, get one off an auto. The A4 is easier on the driveline.

i have an a4, i dont think im gonna snap my stock axles i only have about 200 or more horse im not worried about it my axels shouls hold up fine
