ADVISE PLEASE LOOK INSIDE all THIRD GENS!

Ok i had just gotten the 355 motor in my car and the gauges and the rpm with the guages display doesn't work... so i'm wondering what would it cost to get the gauges working. power steering, heater, and possible the ****er plate for the automatic read out, and maybe a radio.. i'm not sure if this is were i need to be but i need to ask somebuddy... i don't know whether or not to use this as a dialy driver or to resell this car.. the engine only has about 50 miles on it.

Did you rip all of the electronics out or something? I'd suggest plugging everything back in Maybe give a little more information as to WHY it might not be working...what work was done along with the engine swap...etc..later man

Cool Ok here's some info

The stock engine was a v6, swapped it out and re did everything, put in the 355 with automatic transmission, as for the read outs, agian the gauges aren't working, the power windows and the power locks work, the power side mirror (control) is lose. the shif-ter plate is gone, no radio, and i'm going to check for the electrical plug ins later...
The heater either isn't working, or it isn't connected or not their. remember i didn't put the car together, i got it as a project car... so i'm thinking this could be fun. and a good lesson

Cool i know whats up now

i finally looked around at the engine... and the on board computer doens't have any power.. and the power steering pully isn't their, and the belt isn't either.... the heater motor is not hooked up.... i'm thinking this is more of a drag car, or a special occation car rather then an everyday driver.... what you guys think,

No belt!? Definately not a street car... Did you not look at ANY of this before buying the car

Is the distributor on the car an HEI? If so, look around the cap of the distributor and you should see two spots with BATT and TAC on the side. There should be a pin connector plugged into each one. I guessing that they aren't plugged in and that's why your tac isn't working. Also, if you haven't already, check all yor fuses. Sometimes its the simplest thing.

did you do the motor swap yourself? or did you buy the car as is?

from what I've read it sounds like you got someone to do the motor swap for you, take it back and tell them to do a proper job!

if you bought the car as is, phone up the seller and get some info off of him, maybe he knows whats wrong.

You don't need power steering that bad.
I drove around all summer with out it. It saved some gas and gave me a small work out when ever I would drive it in the city.
