Adjusting IAC
Adjusting IAC
I am suppose to jump a and b then take off connetor. How am i suppose to jump a and b while it is still connected. Also am i supposed to adjust the IAC in drive and/or at a certain temp?
The simplest way to do it is with a scantool. Get the IAC readings and adjust the Throttle Blades till you get a count between 20 - 30.
Your method requires that you short out the A & B terminals of the ALDL and turn the car to run, wait 30 seconds, remove the wires of the IAC at the plug and turn the car off. Remove the short and start the car. Set the base idle to around 450 and then shut it off. Reconnect the IAC and start it up. Set TPS to whatever the specs are.
