Accessorie Fuse

My accessorie fuse in my 1988 Camaro RS keeps blowing. On the fuse are my stereo, alarm, and ciggerate (need to learn how to spell) lighter. Some times the fuse will burn out as soon as i put the fuse in, other times in might be a couple of days, hours, or weeks. HELP!!!!

i think its a short somewhere. try to go through somewhere someone has been before to install something (such as the stereo). theres prob. a wire touching metal somewhere causing that.

before all that,u do have the correct amp fuse in right?

this is probably the same problem i was having (and the 10 other people i had talked to about it...)...just pull out your cig lighter. had everyone tell me that after a while it shorts and blows the fuse constantly.

i went through 5 fuses in a week, pulled the lighter out, and never blew another one again!

or you could replace the lighter if you use it i would guess

I had same problem, lighter kept messing it up, the bad part is not only the lighter messes it up, but things like cell phone charges if not put in perfect messes it up, but hey, it's better than always being broke

cell phone woes

The only time mine blows is when I use it for a bit to charge my cell phone. Other than that its fine. I even tried putting a larger fuse, no go.
