???

Im in the process of finding a 350 tpi to build up when I get out of college. My question is this. Do any of you know how to go about looking for a twin turbo system for a 350 tpi? What should I be looking for where should I be looking and what modifications are needed to be had to install it (both turbo and motor wise) any help would be great.

Re: ???

If you're going to go with a TT setup..you're going to want a piston/head combination that's going to give you a relatively LOW compression ratio. I'd say less than 9.0:1 for a turbo. Any higher than that and you won't be able to turn the boost up very much before you risk blowing headgaskets. Get a good felpro gasket set, make sure the heads you get are new or have good valve seals or else all that pressure is going to leak out somewhere. You'll also need to get a stronger fuel pump and injectors to handle that extra pressure. Some injectors are so week the pressure for the turbo will actually push the gas back down the line and then you're pump is going to be hurting.

The main reason why they are very few twin turbo camaros around is because that engine bay is cramped, and turbo headers are a complete pain in the a** to fabricate. I think the only twin turbo headers I saw for a thirdgen went on ebay for damn near 1200, and that was just for headers. I don't know alot about forced induction, you might want to post this in that section of the message board. I just know you'll want a nice, low compression ratio so you can boost it up.
