I am in the middle of converting my 92 RS from a 305 TBI to a 89 350 TPI and I know I need to take the engine harness and computer.
well I am stuck at the speedometer, My 92 has an ecectronic speedometer and the 89 has a manual. If I change the harness and the computer that takes away the wiring for the electronic speedo.

What do I do about that??

Leave the old wiring in. You can remove the old comcoputer though. I just put a corvette computer in my engine bay since it's water proff. Leave all the wires on the inside. All your gages will still work. You want have a check engine light unless u run a wire from the new computer to that light.

Is swapping the tranny from the 305 to the 350 not an option?

If not, some company makes a signal converter but I am not sure what the name is. Try the search feature, you may find something.
