91 rs running issue...

recently picked up a 91 rs 305 TBI car and it has some running issues.. It will hold an idle fine when cold but giving it some rpm the car starts to back fire and stumble.. When the car starts to warm up the car strugles to idle and the symptoms get worse.. the car smells very rich like it's over fueling pretty bad.. I was told the 02's were changed a couple months ago and the egr was replaced at the same time..

i was going to pull the 02's and take a look at them to see if they have a huge amount of carbon build up or something, and the egr had a vacume leak that i plugged but needs to be fixed properly.. Not sure if these two things will fix it completely but was wondering if any one else had this problem and had any suggestions.. thanks

Ok so i've had more time to look at the car and noticed alot of vaccume lines were dissconected and i think the timing is off... It is throwing at least one code but i don't have a OBD1 scanner just yet.. If i can get it running better i can take it to work and scan it..

You don't need a scanner. All you need is a paperclip to read Check Engine codes.
