91 drum brakes

i was re doing my drum brakes on my 91 s, and i couldnt get the wheel cylinder ring to lock in. what is the best way of doing this?

i did drum brakes on my blazer not too long ago. not exactly sure what yer referring to since it was only once ive seen a brake job, if it is the cap of the spring that has to turn into place once mounted then it just takes patience and a second tool to stabilize it while twisting it. Usaully I have a friend hold a pry bar tween the axle flange and the wheel cyl to push the cylinder toward the backing plate...then with a screw driver I get one side to clip in then strike the screw driver handle with a hammer aganist the other side of the clip to seat the clip. They can be a challenge even for a pro

ya, ive tried the pry bar with a screw driver. ive also tried using a socket, but none of them seem to work, i guess ill just have to try harder, but i probably should have taken it off while i had the axel out due to the real axel seal
