87 camaro

ok last year i bought my 87 camaro from a police auction, best place to get cars on this earth, got it for 350 bucks. and its in great shape. alittle work here and there. but now i want to start doing some serious work to it. its the 2.8 multi port, and i want to drop a 350 in there. now i have asked hand fulls of ppl what this would consist of, and i have gotten not one answer the same lol. i got ppl telling me i can just drop one in, that my tranny and rear and and suspension will hold, then i got others telling me that i need to pretty much tear out everything from under the hood and put all v8 **** back in, and others saying well just take everything out and drop the engine in there no wires or anything. So if someone could give me an accurate deal one what i would need to do that would be more then great. if you want to know about money, well i just want to know what needs to be done first and get the money later. thanks alot for any help.

Engine....tranny....complete wiring harness (including computer if you go with an EFI engine)....I believe the driveshaft is the same, and the rear end is exactly the same. The suspension shouldn't need any changes, but you'll want to go ahead and put headers and exhaust on while the engine is out of the car....MUCH easier that way.

Everything TheGreatJ said. Also don't forget things like induction setup, accessories and any necessary brackets, new motor mounts etc. Like you said, "then i got others telling me that i need to pretty much tear out everything from under the hood and put all v8 **** back in".
