is it possible to get the interior of a new camaro to fit in an 87-92 camaro?

 

Yes it is possible seats will bolt up. As to the other stuff a little more work is involved but can be done.

 

The front and rear seats from any 4th Gen Camaro/Firebird are a direct bolt in. Remove a total of 12 fasteners and thats it. Other items require a little more work and may not be worth it.

 

will the console and dash fit - not worried about a little work but would the dash need cutting? hows about the gauges? I'm upgrading my 87-iroc to a 95 ss motor - but the speedo is manual that would be wild to have '99+ interior parts in the 3rd gen. Would the door panels work fit? I looked at it the other day in the junk yard and wondered.

 

Yeah look in the apperance mods forum under a post called "this guys fab skills are amazing" or something allong those lines. He made a 4th gen interior fit in a 3rd gen.

 

I was looking at Corbeau seats, but I'm tighter than Jack Benny, so maybe I can find some Gen4 cloth seats that will work. I'll scope the For Sale forum.

 

There's a lot of people that have put 4th gen interiors (dash and all) into a thirdgen. The most recent that comes to mind is a guy on thirdgen.org called Fatal88.

It is by NO means a direct swap. You better be pretty handy with custom fabrication if you expect it to work.
