'86 GTA RPO locations?

Waz up brothers, It's been a while since I've had a chance to get on here.
Well, I recently aquired a Fire Red-1986 TA: tpi, A4, fully loaded, with the "big Grand Am wheels", and I want to find out more info on this one. Since I'm a big Camaro man, only owning a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, I need some help locating RPO sticker on this thing.
I got it for a steal of $500.00 after someone busted the console and stole the stereo, breaking and stealing the console arm-rest/lid.
The interior and exterior are still in pretty good shape, still clean and shiney!
Can I get some help?Hopefully the theif didn't take the RPO sticker....

I'm pretty sure the RPO codes should either be on the backside of the rear locking storage compartment or under the center console lid. But, to be honest, I don't know as much about Firebirds as I do Camaros.

First, there is no such thing as an 86 GTA. The GTA didnt come out until 1987. The build sheet, can be under the carpet, under the drivers seat, or on top of the gas tank. Actually, if I remember correctly, in 1986 they had the narrower consoles. So the SPID wont be on the inside of the lid. But check everywhere else. But keep in mind, not all cars came with a build sheet...but should have a SPID somewhere.

This may be true, all I know is that it says :
"Performance Suspension"(WS6),and "Trans Am" on the leather glove box, the ground effects are the same color as the body, it had a stereo with EQ and "Gain" control, full analog instrumentation, full power, leather wrapped wheel and shifter and boot.
Even if it wasn't badged yet, it's the same...
I'll check for the "build-sheet", my '90 IROC build sheet was under the rear seat carpet, I'll look there tomorrow.
The sticker was NOT in the center console, and the lid is MIA, so I guess I'll have to find the build sheet...

was 86 the year that the t/a still had teh camaro looking console and the formula got the new narrow style one? or was taht 85?
in firebirds teh rpo sheet was in the hatch locking compartment.
the easiest buidl sheet to get to is usually the one under the hatch carpet. it will be either taped to the front side of teh package well or right in the center of the top flat area.

later

There was no Formula in 1986 either. But I believe the SPID should be in the locking compartment in the trunk. If I remember correctly, the consoles were the same from 1985 to 1992...for the Birds that is.
