'85 Vette with 350 TPI, I need some help!
Hey guys,
My friend CAleb has an uncle that owns a 1985 350 TPI Vette. The car only has 6,3xx miles on it so basically it just sits there. When starting the car, it will fire but only runs for a second, then we unplugged the MAF and it started alot easier but only ran for probally 30 seconds and died again. If you give it gas, it stalls out too. Does that sound like a faulty MAF sensor? I don't know anything about these C4 'Vettes. Thanks guys.

I doubt its a MAF sensor b/c you said it still died with it unplugged.
Im thinkin its either a clogged EGR valve (lots of sitting like u said it does) or maybe the IAC (idle air control valve) is clogged up. Can be cleaned with a tooth brush and some carb cleaner.
Also,check for vacuum leaks...those can be a dirty little culprit too.
